High potential and gifted education

At Curran Public School, we are dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that recognises and nurtures the diverse talents and abilities of every student. We understand that each child learns differently and has unique strengths. Our commitment is to help every student reach their full potential by offering personalised learning opportunities that challenge and inspire them.

We proudly follow the NSW Department of Education’s High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) policy, which ensures that students with high potential and gifted abilities receive equitable and high-quality education. This policy helps us set high expectations for all students and guides us in creating programs that promote excellence.

Our approach focuses on developing the whole child across four key areas: intellectual growth, creativity, social-emotional wellbeing, and physical development. To ensure students remain engaged and challenged, our teachers use a variety of teaching methods and tailor learning experiences to meet the individual interests and abilities of each student.

At Curran Public School, we take pride in fostering a community where all talents are recognised, nurtured, and celebrated. We believe that every child, regardless of their background, deserves the opportunity to discover and develop their talents.
